#12DaysofBooks December Reading Challenge

12daysofbookssmaller

I decided to join in Good Choice Reading’s #12DaysofBooks Reading Challenge for December! It just so happens that I need to read 12 books in order to complete my Goodreads 2016 Reading Challenge Goal of 95 books this year! However, I am the slowest reader ever, so 12 books is definitely a challenge for me! Whoa! My list of 12 books I hope to read before the end of the year is below.

Here are the details from Good Choice Reading, be sure to go to their page and add your blog links if you are going to participate!

Welcome to day one of the #12DaysofBooks Challenge!

Starting today till December 31st, the goal is to read 12 MUST READ books!

I invite you all to join us! It’s simple!

Pick 12 books you will read this month. They can be books in any genre that are upcoming releases, books previously released, ARCs, etc. As long as it’s on your TBR.

Each time you start and finish a book on your list share a status on whatever social media platform you are a member of (or blog post) using the hashtag#12DaysofBooks. This way we can all follow along and maybe discover a bunch of new books.

Happy Holidays!

Kelly’s Challenge List:

In no particular order, links to goodreads:

  1. The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis
  2. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
  3. The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner
  4. Dead Girls Society by Michelle Krys
  5. Eternal Sacrifice by Stacey O’Neale
  6. We are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson
  7. My Lady Jane by  Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, Jodi Meadows
  8. Girls in the Moon by Janet McNally
  9. Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven
  10. Exit, Pursued by a Bear by E.K. Johnston
  11. Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur
  12. The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

Here are a few of the books that I must read before the end of the year. Most of these titles I just bought during those crazy kickoff to Christmas sales, which I am definitely going to read, so why not this month, like Exit, Pursued by a Bear, milk and honey, Girls in the Moon, and re-read of The Outsiders, since I snagged that fancy 50th anniversary edition. I am currently listening to Exit, Pursued by a Bear on audible and will finish tonight while I make dinner. I am reading Female of the Species on my Kindle, and I am finishing reading my hardcover of Crooked Kingdom! So woohoo, I am getting started on this very ambitious list! I will need all sorts of encouragement, feel free to pep talk me through this and I will tweet status updates tagged #12daysofbooks!

Be the little reading red engine that could, Kelly! Good luck with your challenge! It’s a great idea.

    • AHHHH I can’t believe you haven’t read SoC yet! It’s so amazing…the audio is amazing too, and it was on sale last week…wonder if it still is?!

Due to too much planned between next week and the end of the month I won’t be able to work in 12 but I do highly suggest you grab Female of the Species. I finished it last night and OMG it was a wild ride in a good way. Dark read so be prepared.

    • Oh yay! It is my current ebook read, I started it yesterday on my lunch break, but when I am home I am reading Crooked Kingdom…I can’t wait to finish ALL THE BOOKS!

      Thanks for sharing! <3
