ApollyCon Highlights and Giveaway!
When Kelly told me a few months ago that ApollyCon would be held in our hometown of Philadelphia, I jumped at the chance to not only fly home to my favorite city but to also indulge my fan girl tendencies. With a line-up that included, Wendy Higgins, Cora Carmack, Jeaniene Frost and of course the guest of honor, Jennifer L. Armentrout, there was no way BookCrushin was missing out.
We were lucky enough to snag VIR tickets, which allowed us to get into the signing well before the public, which translates to tons of swag, signed books and more. 
At 9:15 sharp, Kelly and I lined up with other die hard fans and made our way through the B&N bookstore where we snatched up tons of books to get signed. When we entered the conference we were able to make our way around and talk with such authors as Megan Erickson, Rachel Hollis, and Susan Dennard. The line to see Cora Carmack was long and I was sweating not being able to talk to her before they broke for lunch but the ever gracious Cora, made an exception, and signed all of our books cutting into her own lunch time.
We happily got back in line during the public signing and decided to divide and conquer the other half of the room. Kelly waited in line to speak to the guest of honor, who had a line that wrapped around the conference room. Although, I think that had a little something to do with Drew Leighty, aka Seth the cover model from The Return (fans self).
With Kelly in line to see Jennifer, I was able to make may way over to meet some of my faves, such as Jay Crownover (who is hilarious), Katy McGarry (who may or may not have given me some intel on a certain favorite character of mine), and Sarah J. Maas (who is one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen up close).
At 4pm, I get a frantic text from Kelly that she is only 5 people away from Jennifer, so I hauled ass across the conference room and finally got to meet her in person! After signing for hours, she was as funny and as humble as can be.
Before we left we both found out that we had each separately won ARCs from the raffles. Kelly won her grail ARC–A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas and I had won Asa (Marked Men #6) by Jay Crownover, SQUEEE.
At 7pm it was back to the hotel to partake in the after party. Getting to see so many fans dressed up in their ApollyCon finery was a real treat. The DJ put on some amazing tunes, and we spent the better part of the night shaking what our mama’s gave us.
Getting to hang out with real fans and the authors whose words give us so much joy was an awesome experience.
With that said, we can’t wait to share the wealth with all of you! Read on for the first of a few prize packs we will be giving away over the next week.

On the left all the books are signed. The middle are cd audiobooks with signed covers. The right are all the freebies we got at the very end so there was no way to get them signed (Throne of Glass) but they are happily up for grabs! Remember the winner gets their choice of one book pictured!
I’d LOVE to get a copy of Throne of Glass. Mostly because it’s been on my TBR list for so long, and too many others have had great things to say about the series!
Just so you know the Throne of Glass books aren’t signed 🙁 they were in our VIR bags that we got at the end of the night, and SJM was already gone so we couldn’t swindle another signature from her…but such a great book/series!
Doesn’t matter to me if they’re signed or not. I just want to get to read them XD
I am so jealous! This is so awesome & I wish I could have gone, specially with a line-up like this!
I have a few signed books by some of these authors, but some I haven’t met like Jay Crownover, Katy McGarry, Cora Carmack! I love their books, so I hope I get to soon.
Other authors I am dying to read/meet are Sarah J. Maas & Susan Dennard.

Sarah J Maas is seriously amazing person & she’s got moves like Jagger on the dance floor! Susan Dennard is so sweet & humble! Cora Carmack is by far the nicest person ever and I totally stalk her –in a good way!! I hope you get to an event even a small local signing sometime soon….then you can join the ranks of the addicted!!
I’m so jealous! I wish I lived anywhere near a book signing. I’d probably squee myself to death!
My ultimate of most ultimate sign wishes would be GRRM or Patrick Rothfuss or Justin Cronin or LH Cosway or Penny Reid (wait I have signed book by her, but I won it, I didn’t meet her…yet.) or Melissa Haag (I got to pet a book signed to my niece by her) or get my copy of Good Omens signed by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

Holy shiballz you guys I have to go with Tracy and admit I’m a teensy bit jealous, we never have conventions like this where I”m at lol. And really I wouldn’t be able to pick between the Firelight books and SJ Maas 😀 love that you got to meet and have books signed by such amazing authors! 🙂 🙂
Oh and I forgot to add that I too want some signed Neil Gaiman or even Anne Rice!

There were so many authors at Apollycon I wanted to meet, Jennifer Armentrout, Cora Carmack, Laura Kaye, Jay Crownover, Jamie Shaw… As for the book, I would have to grab a quarter and heads-All Line Up and tails-Wicked 🙂 That’s the only way I’d truly be able to decide, lol Congrats on winning Asa, color me jealous 🙂
