The Age of Darkness approaches.Five lives stand in its way.Who will stop it... or unleash it?

For generations, the Seven Prophets guided humanity. Using their visions of the future, they ended wars and united nations―until the day, one hundred years ago, when the Prophets disappeared.

All they left behind was one final, secret prophecy, foretelling an Age of Darkness and the birth of a new Prophet who could be the world’s salvation . . . or the cause of its destruction. As chaos takes hold, five souls are set on a collision course:

A prince exiled from his kingdom.A ruthless killer known as the Pale Hand.A once-faithful leader torn between his duty and his heart. A reckless gambler with the power to find anything or anyone. And a dying girl on the verge of giving up.

One of them―or all of them―could break the world. Will they be savior or destroyer?

Which Characters are BookCrushin?

We decided to sort ourselves, so to speak, as a character that seems to fit our traits.

Kelly – Well I am not sure I fit into any of the characters from what we know here without spoilers, but it has been decided that I am Anton, the gambler. I have the uncanny ability to get what I want, and to find things that others think is difficult. My mind works in ways that I can recall images, never forget a face, and see diagrams in my mind’s eye. If I have seen it somewhere I can immediately put my mind to task to remember where I was and what I wanted so I can go seek it out again.

Christy – Naturally, I have always fallen into roles as a leader, so I would be Jude. Maybe it’s my take charge attitude or my desire to get things done or just because I happen to be the loudest person in a room. One thing I’ve learned is you will be faced with decisions that have emotional impact on you, even if you make the “right” decision. In leadership, you’re often dealing with decisions that impact people’s lives. Occasionally, you’ll make a decision that is is best overall but the people impacted do not view it the same way. Being torn is a way of life!

Jana – I am definitely not someone who is great at self assessment. I grew up dancing in front of a room of full length mirrors and competing with everyone who could be my friend for roles, so I probably have a pretty screwed up self-image. I think we are all a blend of the characters we read, whether we associate with them because we see ourselves in them or we aspire to be more like them. If I were to pick a charactr it would be either Beru the Innocent, or Jude the Protector. I’d say I’m more Beru, since I grew up isolated. I wasn’t around all the normal pop culture and tv shows, so I don’t get the references, even now.

I was divided on Jude because I have the protector mentality. I will stand up for my friends and family till my dying breath (so very Slytherin), but I am not so much an adventurist that I think I am a Celeana Sarodthian assassin type, who could go out and protect people with a sword.
