Fia was born with flawless instincts. Her first impulse, her gut feeling, is always exactly right. Her sister, Annie, is blind to the world around her—except when her mind is gripped by strange visions of the future.

Trapped in a school that uses girls with extraordinary powers as tools for corporate espionage, Annie and Fia are forced to choose over and over between using their abilities in twisted, unthinkable ways… or risking each other’s lives by refusing to obey.

Mind Games is one of the many books that were given out during NYCC. I’d like to take a minute to really gush over the beauty of this cover. It’s absolutely beautiful in person. When I say that this book is beyond awesome, I mean it. I was excited to read it because Kiersten White’s Paranormalcy trilogy is one of my very favorites. Her writing style is so refreshing, fun and her protagonists seem to be very quick with responses. But this is nothing like Paranormalcy. You can’t really compare them. They’re both great in different ways. Fia, omg. Fia. She is the angriest most heart wrenching protagonist. Something tells you that you should feel sorry for her, if she were another girl you probably would feel sorry for her. But because Fia is who she is, you feel her anger and desperation and while you’re flying through the pages you end up cheering her on with her ass kicking and even her “insanity”. I wish this book was already available for everyone because I picked up this book and read it one whole day. That’s how good it is.

I am so sorry Evie, but Fia has won my heart. Or was it James?

So in February of 2013, you know what book you should be picking up after this highly cryptic (she said absolutely nothing about the plot!) review! I’m so happy I was able to read an advance copy, but with such a cliffhanger of an ending… I’m already helplessly waiting for the second book! Is it Winter 2014 already?! :'(
