Holy Hot Warlock, Cassandra Clare broke the news yesterday that she will be releasing “The Bane Chronicles” a serialization that will follow one of The Mortal Instruments most beloved characters, Magnus Bane.
The series, a colloboration with authors Sarah Rees Brennan (Unspoken) and Maureen Johnson (The Name of the Star) will be a serialization that will release every month in e-book format starting in February all the way up to the release of the City of Bones movie in August.
Here is a teaser of the new series as revealed from Examiner.com: “Have you ever wondered about Magnus’s past loves and lies? Magnus and Alec’s first date? How Magnus and Camille got together? What happened in Peru?”
Magnus Bane has been seen in all of Clare’s Mortal Instrument books as well as in the prequel books The Infernal Devices. I wonder if Alec as Bane’s current love will make an appearance in any of the upcoming stories in “The Bane Chronicles”? Any way you slice it this should wet the fans appetite until the release of the movie. If you’re curious as to who is playing Bane on the big screen it’s Godrey Gao. And if you ask me he’s spot on as the cheeky warlock.
