Excerpt:

I look up into the mirror and see the female bartender from last night leaning against the counter top behind me. It’s clear that she was waiting for me, so I continue on with my task, but raise an eyebrow in question.

She eyes my curves with disdain and unconsciously smoothes a hand over her slender frame, brushing away non-existent wrinkles. “Phin mentioned that you are old friends,” she snips.

“Yes,” I answer flatly, using a paper towel to dry my hands.

“I wouldn’t read too much into him taking you out,” she warns, “He isn’t the type to settle down.” She does another once over, then molds her face into what I’m assuming is supposed to be sympathetic, but instead, makes her look like Miss Piggy with overly wide eyes and her scrunched nose in the air. “If I couldn’t get him to settle down, no one can.” Now her look turns stubborn with a side of menacing, “So, don’t try to fight for him; you’ll lose.”

One mental eye roll and a satisfying vision of a bitch slap later, I quip, “Thanks for the heads up, but ‘I, moiself, have always enjoyed a good scrimmage.’” Oink, oink. I immediately turn toward the door, dismissing her and ending this high school-esque conversation. I don’t even throw out a “Boo, you whore” on my way out. Score one for being a grownup—mostly. I may have indulged in imagining the door smacking her in the face and permanently scrunching up her nose.

Review:

[book rating=5/5]
“It’s a brand new day, a fresh start for us, and it’s suddenly very clear to me-she is mine.”

A Very Faerie Christmas is a holiday novella that features two new main characters in the Fae Guard series, we have met Phin before, but Meallá is new to the realm. I devoured this novella and it was absolutely perfect. It fit right into the series; we got to revisit some of our favorite regular characters and delve deeper into the world. I highly recommend you check out this series, in order, if you like witty, sexy, paranormal reads!

This is a second chance at love novella, told in dual POV, just like the last 3 in the series, and I couldn’t be more into these two if I tried! It was steamy right off the bat and trust me if you blush as easily as I do, I do not recommend reading it in public! The deep and amazing desire Phin feels for Meallá is knee weakening. I was consumed with the love these two have for each other. There were some heartbreaking truths to wade through but in the end their love is so right for each other and I adored every page. I would have loved an entire book from their perspective, as at this point the only issue I had was that it ended! Damn novellas-suck you in and then leave you wanting more!

Every book in this series is so full of passion, hope and a wee bit of drama. And honestly they are just so fun to read! I feel like a lot of these characters, even though they are magic beings, are really just like me and my friends, they are just that relatable. If you are looking for outrageous wit and extremely steamy passion then you should definitely read this series!

Merry Faerie Christmas!

Author Bio: Elle Christensenelle c

I’m a lover of all things books, a hopeless romantic, and have always had a passion for writing. Between being a sappy romantic, my love of an HEA, my crazy imagination, and ok, let’s be real, my dirty mind, I fell easily into writing romance.

I’m a huge baseball fan and yet, a complete girly, girl. I’m an obsessive reader and have a slight (hahaha! Slight? Yeah, right) addiction to signed books.

I’m married to my very own book boyfriend, an alpha male with a sexy, sweet side. He is the best inspiration, my biggest supporter and the love of my life. He is also incredibly patient and understanding about the fact that he has to fight the voices in my head for my attention.

I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them!
