Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness—beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…
Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds… and desires.
The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn’t tear us apart…
I’ll be honest, I absolutely loathe when people come up to me and say “oh, you should read this because it’s soooooooo much better than (insert current popular book)” because it’s just plain annoying. But hear me out. I read the (annoying) Fifty Shades of Grey before it blew up aka I read it when actual readers were reading it and suggested I give it a try because I’m a fan of some good romantic erotica. Unfortunately while reading the first two books of the trilogy I spent more time shaking my head and making faces than blushing and giggling like I thought I would be. But this isn’t an anti-Grey thing. This is a OMG YOU MUST MEET CROSSFIRE thing.
Gideon Cross is dark, mysterious, demanding, rich, sexy and the ultimate alpha male. But what sets this story apart for me in the world of sexy books? There are actual emotions here. Yes, sex is what brings Gideon and Eva together and there is a lot of obsession entwined. But I actually felt the feelings between them. If you’re in the mood for some sex and obsession, pick up Bared to You by Sylvia Day and don’t forget the second book of the Crossfire novels, Reflected in You (that I absolutely loved!).
I couldn’t put these down and can’t wait for the third installment!
