Blog Tour & Book Look: Soul of a Gentleman Witch by David Ferraro
There is something about a story set between worlds that makes me want to slow down and sit with the details. Soul of a Gentleman Witch feels steeped in atmosphere, the kind of book where deals with the devil feel elegant and dangerous at the same time, and where longing quietly drives every choice. For this stop on the blog tour, I wanted the book look to feel rooted in that tension. Old-world manners paired with something just slightly off, like a life that looks polished on the surface but is bound by something darker underneath. Check it out below!
Book Look: Soul of a Gentleman Witch

Soul of a Gentleman Witch follows Callum, a perpetually seventeen-year-old witch who has spent centuries in service to Lucifer, collecting souls in order to earn back his own. When he is offered a single task that could free him completely, escorting a boy named Augustus from London to America by the next blood moon, the promise feels too good to refuse. Along the journey, Callum begins to care for Auggie in a way he never has for a mark before, and once the truth about Auggie’s soul comes to light, Callum is forced to decide what freedom is really worth.
For this look, I leaned into a vintage, academic feel that reflects Callum’s timelessness. Structured layers, soft neutrals, and classic textures that feel pulled from another era. The outfit is tidy and composed, almost restrained, which felt right for a character who has spent centuries obeying rules and honoring contracts, even when they cost him everything. There is a formality here that mirrors Callum’s role as a gentleman witch, someone who moves through dark magic with politeness and care.
At the same time, the look is meant to feel wearable and human, because at the heart of this story is not just magic or bargains with the devil, but connection. Callum’s growing affection for Auggie is what unsettles everything he thought he knew about duty and destiny. This book look lives in that space, where devotion, morality, and desire quietly collide.

Perpetually seventeen, Callum the witch has been in the service of Lucifer, collecting souls, as his own soul is indebted to the devil until he completes 666 tasks for him.
Summoned to Hell on assignment, Lucifer tells Callum that completing his next task will wipe the remaining tasks from his ledger and he will return Callum’s soul to him upon completion. All Callum must do is ensure his latest charge, Augustus, makes it from London to America, by the next blood moon.
As they journey across the sea, Callum grows to care for Augustus “Auggie”. Auggie seems unlike any mark Callum has ever been charged with and Callum wonders why such a noble boy would sell his soul to the devil.
Upon reaching New York, Callum discovers that Auggie never sold his soul to the devil at all but is an innocent. But is Callum willing to forfeit his own freedom to save Auggie?
