One Lucky Night is a sweet collection of short stories that all interweave to bring you one heart melting story after another. With Irish Tavern The Brazen Head as the backdrop each story finds characters that are so right for one another but each for whatever reason just needs a nudge in the right direction. Enter a mysterious diner who makes contact with each character in the story giving them the gentle nudge they need and indeed making it a Lucky Night for all. Like with any short story collection there are always those stories that emerge from the pack and for me those were “A New Tune” and “Lexi’s Chance”. For me the chemistry between the characters in both stories was palatable and the authors were both able to pack what felt like fully formed romances in a short amount of pages. A New Tune in particular was one I’d love to see as a full length novel. Cian and Holly had a great storyline and who doesn’t love a rocker and a girl who plays hard to get?

What was so great about this collection though was how each story flowed effortlesssly into the next as the entire book centered around one snowy night at the tavern. The book was a quick fast read and one I am ashamed to admit I read for the most part while in a bubble bath! This will make a great read sitting by the pool (or even in a tub). It’s fun, sexy, and has the right amount of heart to appeal to all readers.
