Top 10 Villains:

These are in no particular order. Just ten of my favorites! I could have easily added another 5, but tried to limit to absolute favorites (if that’s a thing).

1. Amarantha (A Court of Thorns and Roses series): Because she actually was a terrible being. She wanted more power. She wanted to take over Prythian. And she was ruthless in her attempts at succeeding. She would have stopped at nothing to get her way, even when she made deals.

2. Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street): Is there anything scarier than a monster who lives in your dreams? I mean, the idea that you can’t go to sleep for fear of being murdered…*shudder* And that face. Those knives.

3. Pennywise the Clown (IT): Now, to be fair, I still haven’t seen the new movie. But I’ve always loved Tim Curry’s portrayal. A demon clown that terrorizes children. And tells jokes. Definitely my favorite Stephen King villain!

4. Ursula (The Little Mermaid, Disney): This feels like a no-brainer. But honestly, I’ve always loved the movie. She was so manipulative. Just like Ariel, she wanted to escape her life. Except she wanted to destroy others in the process of doing so. The Sea Witch was evil and creepy and a huge b****.

5. Bellatrix LeStrange (Harry Potter): Yeah, this b****. Honestly, she was worse than Voldemort and his other Death Eaters combined. She killed Dobby. End of story.

6. Dolores Umbridge (Harry Potter): This one needs no explanation. The absolute worst character. And a hypocrite.

7. Ramsey Bolton (Game of Thrones): Sadistic and cruel, he is by far one of the grossest and worst characters ever written and brought to screen. Easily my most-hated in the books and on the show. I’m sure most would agree.

8. Darth Vader (Star Wars): Can he be on the best and worst list? From blowing up planets to sacrificing himself, it’s a toss-up as to where to put him. His quest to do good ultimately led him to the Dark Side. So, yeah. It makes him a great villain.

9. Negan (The Walking Dead): Um, hello. He, along with Lucille, have done some majorly messed up things. He doesn’t even feel bad, just tries to gain power through fear. It’s a dangerous mentality. And evil.

10. Xenomorph & Predator (Aliens and Predator, respectively): If this is cheating, I don’t even care. Anyone who knows me is aware that these movie franchises are my ‘thing.’ I can’t leave either off the list. Monsters are always the worst because they lack any humanity. Such is the case with these two. One is all about reproducing and breeding through other hosts. The other is a hunter/warrior always looking for the next top competitor. Scary. And bad ass.
