Synopsis:

He controls the game, but she’s rewriting all the rules…

Marley Lake is no stranger to awkwardness, but getting caught watching a dirty GIF by the company’s hot new IT guy exceeds even her standards. That is, until she realizes he’s as turned on by it as she is. But with a big promotion on the line, she refuses to let her current dry spell be her downfall. Maybe.

Austin Rivers has no business lusting after the irresistible editor of Gamers Magazine. He’s a secret partner in the business—and technically Marley’s boss. One look at that GIF, though, and he’s ready to install a whole lot more than just software…as long as she never finds out who he really is.

But reality’s not as virtual as it seems, and when Austin’s identity jeopardizes Marley’s promotion, he has to change his game or risk losing the only woman with the cheat code to his heart.

Review:

[book rating=5.0/5.0]

When I got my hands on a copy of Changing his Game I didn’t know what to expect. I had never read any books by Megan previously. Well I ended up reading this book in one sitting. One of those books where you realize it’s 4am and oh crap I haven’t slept and need to get up for work. Maybe it’s the fact that it featured a hot video game programmer and my husband is a gamer and programmer? Shhh. Don’t tell him that.

I really loved Marley Lake. She was a strong female character who was passionate about her job and a little bit geeky (the cosplay was a nice touch). And then there is Austin Rivers, sigh, where do I begin? He’s mysterious, hot, and I love that teeny alpha side of him.  The first meeting between the two where Austin sees Marley’s naughty Tumblr should have been fifty shades of awkward but was SO hot. These two had chemistry the first minute they met and I found myself anxious for that first make-out scene. And let me just say that when these two get together it’s combustible. A few of their scenes together I actually felt my cheeks getting warm, and for a minute I thought I’d have to fan myself!

There was enough angst and tension between the two that it kept me turning the pages on my ipad well into the wee hours of the morning. At the end of the book (which without giving too much away but I loved the Comic Con scene) I wanted more. I actually said out loud, I hope this continues! And Thankfully it does, there will be more books in this series, which you can be sure we will cover here.

So if you are in the mood for something different, give this super fun, and sexy adult contemporary a try. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.
