Cover Crush: Bad Romance by Heather Demetrios
This cover is so raw, so powerful, and yeah just absolutely gorgeous. WOW. Bad Romance by Heather Demetrios looks like a heavy hitter. The images portrayed on the cover along with the title should give you some ideas that this will not be an easy-breazy read. Once I read the blurb, I am super intrigued and really looking forward to reading this book. Yeah, and I am not sure there are enough happy ending to bad relationships stories for young adult readers, some light at the end of a really bad and abusive tunnel. Just look at the dead flowers under the live and vibrant ones, that sure is a metaphor of how sometimes love can die just as quickly as the fresh flowers can. I know there are plenty of these stories in the new adult and adult romance world and I am thankful that something so poignant is being written for the YA marketplace too. Be sure to add Bad Romance to your TBR and if you want preorder it for it’s June 13th, 2017 release.

Grace wants out. Out of her house, where her stepfather wields fear like a weapon and her mother makes her scrub imaginary dirt off the floors. Out of her California town, too small to contain her big city dreams. Out of her life, and into the role of Parisian artist, New York director—anything but scared and alone.
Enter Gavin: charming, talented, adored. Controlling. Dangerous. When Grace and Gavin fall in love, Grace is sure it’s too good to be true. She has no idea their relationship will become a prison she’s unable to escape.
Deeply affecting and unflinchingly honest, this is a story about spiraling into darkness—and emerging into the light again.
