Book Recommendation: Cursed Princess Club: A Most Unusual Princess by Michelle Knudsen
Cursed Princess Club: A Most Unusual Princess by Michelle Nudson continues everything that made the Cursed Princess Club series so special for me in the first place. It is funny, heartfelt, and quietly radical in the way it pushes back against the narrow ideas of beauty and femininity we are so used to seeing in fairy tales. This is a world where princesses do not need to be delicate, graceful, or conventionally pretty to be worthy of love or respect.
What I adore most about Cursed Princess Club is how affirming it feels without ever being preachy. It is a love letter to anyone who does not fit neatly into gender norms, and to anyone who has ever felt out of place for not meeting someone else’s expectations. The cursed princesses are not waiting to be fixed or transformed. They are building community, finding confidence, and redefining what happily ever after can look like on their own terms.
A Most Unusual Princess keeps that same energy while deepening the emotional stakes and letting the characters grow in ways that feel both gentle and empowering, this time through prose. If you are drawn to novels that balance humor with real heart, or fairy tales that challenge the stories we were told growing up, this is absolutely one to check out. If you loved the Lambcat’s Cursed Princess Club, this one deserves a spot on your TBR immediately.
