Kelly’s Top 5 Most Anticipated Reads of 2017:

Once again, we are all EAGERLY anticipating A Court of Wings and Ruin, but since I have the luxury of seeing everyone’s lists, I whittled down my list of 50 2017-must releases on goodreads, that were not repeated as to get you all excited for as many 2017 releases as possible!

1. Obsidian and Stars (Ivory and Bone #2) by Julie Eshbaugh
I loved Ivory and Bone so damn much! I am super excited to read from Mya’s POV!
Goodreads ** Amazon

2. Windwitch (Truthwitch #2) by Susan Dennard
TBH, I had a hard time getting into Truthwitch, but once I was hooked, I couldn’t put it down. I had a really hard time getting it out of my head, for the weeks that followed. What’s even more thrilling is that I may be more excited for the sequel, Windwitch after I finished the first book. So yes, Windwitch is tops of my 2017 list!
Goodreads ** Amazon

3. The Great Pursuit (Eurona Duology #2) by Wendy Higgins
Holy moley, I loved The Great Hunt (review)! This duology has me waiting on baited breath because that cliffhanger! I can not wait to find out what happens next!
Goodreads ** Amazon

4. Wonder Woman: Warbringer (DC Icons, #1) by Leigh Bardugo
I am pretty sure I would read Leigh Bardugo’s grocery lists, that feels creepy, but you know what I mean. She has become an author that excites me with every word she shares with her adoring fans. I love all of her books, her characters, her instagram, and I think I may be in love with her! Also, too creepy, so let’s just get back to the damn book is about WONDER WOMAN! Nuff said.
Goodreads ** Amazon

5. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
I think people either love or hate Laini Taylor’s previous series, I am in the LOVE category, so this book has been on my radar for what feels like forever, but we are finally, FINALLY getting it soon!
Goodreads ** Amazon

Honorable Mentions:

They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera
I love Adam & he has two books coming out in 2017! He is an amazing human and he gives the best hugs, does the best sketches in your books and yeah totally adore him. History is All You Left Me releases really soon and seriously is amazing, review coming soon! They Both Die at the End doesn’t even have a cover yet…but it’s on my list! Plus it is a little bit sci-fi, so YAY!
Goodreads ** Amazon

Caraval by Stephanie Garber
This book has all the hype and I am also giving it the hype! Woot!
Goodreads ** Amazon

Shannon’s Top 5 Most Anticipated Reads of 2017:

1. A Court of Wings and Ruin
See my best of list for the reasons why this is firmly my #1 pick for most anticipated of 2017. Nuff Said.
Goodreads ** Amazon

2. Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray
Maybe it’s because I just finished Westworld and was blown away by the whole idea of AI but this book which reminds me of Terminator in Space sounds amazeballs.
Goodreads ** Amazon

3. The Burning World (Warm Bodies #3) by Isaac Maron
Warm Bodies is without a doubt my fave zombie book of all time. I feel like I’ve been waiting on this sequel forever (only 7 years but whose counting). I am so happy that R and Julie’s story will continue.
Goodreads ** Amazon

4. Rise of Fire (Reign of Shadows #2) by Sophie Jordan
This was one of only a handful of 5 star reads in 2015. I raved about Reign of Shadows to anyone that would listen and since it ended on an insane cliffhanger you know I will be clicking purchase at Amazon the minute this one releases.
Goodreads ** Amazon

5. Long Way Home (Thunder Road #3) by Katie McGarry
My Love for Thunder Road series should be totally apparent by now. I cannot wait to finally get the brooding Violet’s story. I have a feeling this one will require a box of tissues.
Goodreads ** Amazon

Honorable Mention:

Our Dark Duet (Monsters of Verity #2) by Victoria Schwab
This Savage Song was one of the most unique YA’s I’ve come across in awhile. I am curious to see where this story goes in 2017. See my review here.
Goodreads ** Amazon

Kelli’s Top 5 Most Anticipated Reads of 2017:

1. ACOWAR by Sarah J. Maas
I feel like this is a no-brainer, but I added it anyway! This is bittersweet: finally knowing how it all ends, BUT, remembering that it’s the END! Yes, I know there will be other books, but Feyre’s narrative is ending.
Goodreads ** Amazon

2. Untitled Chaol Novella by Sarah J. Maas
Again, anyone who knows me understands this pick. Regardless of what anyone says, I am and will always be Team Captain of the Guard. I hated how he was portrayed in QoS, so I’m looking forward to reading only about him. And I’m hoping he gets his own HEA.
Goodreads ** Amazon

3. Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh
Though I wasn’t a huge fan of TWATD, I think Renee writes beautifully. That cover! The summary! Cannot wait.
Goodreads ** Amazon

4. Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones
It was the cover that caught my eye. I mean, Labyrinth vibes abound!
Goodreads ** Amazon

5. Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth
Basically, I’m hoping for redemption after Allegiant. I’ve heard mostly positive things from early reviewers, so fingers crossed!
Goodreads ** Amazon

Sara’s Top 5 Most Anticipated Reads of 2017:

1. Strikers: Outlands by Ann Christy
The final book in the Strikers series. I don’t know how Ann is going to mend my heart after Strikers: Eastlands, but I can’t wait to find out. I love these books so hard.
Goodreads

2. Enigma by Tonya Kuper
This book was on our list last year but didn’t release, so back on the list it goes! Enigma is now slated for a summer 2017 release, and I’m still just as excited to catch up with Josie.
Goodreads

3. Seeker by Veronica Rossi
Hurry up! I need the sequel to the amazing Riders, please and thank you. Man, I loved Riders. It is such an inventive novel.

4. Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Claire
I’m currently reading Lady Midnight and loving it because, duh, it’s Cassandra Clare, so of course I can’t wait for Lord of Shadows.

Like I need to discuss how awesome these books are or why I can’t wait for the final book!

I couldn’t choose between these two but I think they’re pretty self explanatory.

I am looking forward to By Your Side by West. Also another big one is Refuge for Masterminds by Baldwin. It is #3 in the Stranje House series.

  2. Gosh dudes there really are tons of releases to look forward to this coming year! You know I stalk you more than is healthy. It’s what book friends do best. And aside from the Maas releases which will undoubtedly be some of my favorite, I’m really looking forward to Neil Gaiman’s Norse Mythology out in February and non book wise, but still sorta book wise, Starz production of American Gods!!!

The inexplicable logic of my life because after Ari & Dante Benjamin Alire Saenz became one of my favorite authors and I decided to destroy myself reading Last night I sang to the monster and He forgot to say goodbye and now i can’t stop and I’m reading Kentucky Club and I’m in pain again LOL.Also More Happy than not was amazing and I’m waiting both of Silvera’s upcoming books.Followed by email.
I think I like books that can destroy me >.<

  4. ANNIE

Triple Threat by Gwenda Bond, because Lois Lane is one of my favorites characters from DC Comics and I don’t like Amy Adam interpretation (maybe is Snyder’s fault) and I read Lois Lane fallout and LL Double Down and think Gwenda’s version is awesome and reminds me Smallville.
    Staking with my email

  5. Emma A

I am really excited to read the first book in Marissa Meyer’s new series, The Gatlon School for Vigilantes. I am also super pumped for the last book in the Throne of Glass series to come out so that I can finally finish the series. After Heir of Fire I decided to wait until the rest of the books are out to read the series because the wait is too painful to go through several times over the year, so I figured I might as well be patient.

I follow you through Bloglovin (Emma Andje McAndrew) and Twitter (@emandm2222).

  6. Lor C

I am so excited for A Court of Wings and Ruin because Feyre’s journey helped me through a dark time in my life. I also can’t wait for A Conjuring of Light because reading the books in the Shades of Magic series jumpstarted my love of reading again. I follow you on Twitter! (@LorC__).

  7. Maria Mitchell

I am addicted to Renée’s books and am so excited for Flame in the Mist. I am also dying to read Windwitch and Caraval.
