Kelly’s Top 5
I have read a lot more New Adult books this year and I have to say I freaking love them! I was very hesitant at first because normally, traditional romance isn’t really all that relatable for me. I tend to fall more into the fantasy and paranormal to you know…escape reality, but I have been reading more and more and of course now I am HOOKED! I don’t read NA nearly as much as others but I have found what I like and I like a well thought out plot, unique conflict, and some well deserved smexy times with mad anticipation & angst! Don’t kill me if these all are well know releases, but folks, did you read the part where I am still very new to new adult? I also am loving the resurgence of NA paranormal! SCORE!
*So glad this is finally releasing! I am not sure I could have waited another fecking month! Especially with that ICED cliffhanger! Plus those sexy teasers that have been released…OMG! *fans self*
Burned (Fever #7) by Karen Marie Moning
Publication: January 20th, 2015 by Delacorte Press
Pre-Order: Amazon
It’s easy to walk away from lies. Power is another thing.
MacKayla Lane would do anything to save the home she loves. A gifted sidhe-seer, she’s already fought and defeated the deadly Sinsar Dubh—an ancient book of terrible evil—yet its hold on her has never been stronger.
When the wall that protected humans from the seductive, insatiable Fae was destroyed on Halloween, long-imprisoned immortals ravaged the planet. Now Dublin is a war zone with factions battling for control. As the city heats up and the ice left by the Hoar Frost King melts, tempers flare, passions run red-hot, and dangerous lines get crossed. Seelie and Unseelie vie for power against nine ancient immortals who have governed Dublin for millennia; a rival band of sidhe-seers invades the city, determined to claim it for their own; Mac’s former protégé and best friend, Dani “Mega” O’Malley, is now her fierce enemy; and even more urgent, Highland druid Christian MacKeltar has been captured by the Crimson Hag and is being driven deeper into Unseelie madness with each passing day. The only one Mac can depend on is the powerful, dangerous immortal Jericho Barrons, but even their fiery bond is tested by betrayal.
It’s a world where staying alive is a constant struggle, the line between good and evil gets blurred, and every alliance comes at a price. In an epic battle against dark forces, Mac must decide who she can trust, and what her survival is ultimately worth.
*I am so enamored with Megan right now and she is a publishing machine! Her 3rd novel in the New Adult Bowler University series, Make it Last, is releasing very soon, January 6th, and I am so excited! The other 2 books were phenomenal NA college reads, go read them NOW! But this one…has me all nervously excited! It’s NA, it’s male/male and this cover has me drooling for this!

With his college graduation gown expertly pitched into the trash, Justin Akron is ready for the road trip he planned with his best friend Landry— and ready for one last summer of escape from his mother’s controlling grip. Climbing into the Winnebago his father left him, they set out across America in search of the sites his father had captured through the lens of his Nikon.
As an aspiring photographer, Justin can think of no better way to honor his father’s memory than to scatter his father’s ashes at the sites he held sacred. And there’s no one he’d rather share the experience with more than Landry.
But Justin knows he can’t escape forever. Eventually he’ll have to return home and join his mother’s Senate campaign. Nor can he escape the truth of who he is, and fact that he’s in love with his out-and-proud travel companion.
Admitting what he wants could hurt his mother’s conservative political career. But with every click of his shutter and every sprinkle of ash, Justin can’t resist Landry’s pull. And when the truth comes into focus, neither is prepared for the secrets the other is hiding.
*I just finished reading Boomerang, the first book in the series of the same name, by Noelle August (Veronica Rossi & Lorin Oberweger), and it is so adorable and funny! Rebound had to be on this list! Squee!
Rebound (Boomerang #2) by Noelle August

Hooking up is only the beginning of the fun in this sexy and irresistible second installment of the thrilling New Adult series, Boomerang.
Adam Blackwood has it all. At twenty-two, he’s fabulously wealthy, Ryan Gosling-hot and at the top of the heap in the business world. His life is perfect, until a scandal from his past resurfaces and knocks the tech wunderkind down, throwing his company, Boomerang, a hook-up site for millennials, into chaos.
Three years ago, Adam married his high school love—and then lost her in a tragic accident. Now, the heartbreak and guilt he’s tried to bury with work and women begins to take over his life.
Alison Quick, the twenty-one-year-old daughter of a business tycoon—and the very ex-girlfriend of Boomerang’s former intern, Ethan—has a problem of her own. She’s got one chance to prove to her father that she deserves a place in his empire by grabbing control of Boomerang and taking Adam down.
But as Alison moves in on him, armed with a cadre of lawyers and accountants, she discovers there’s much more to Adam and Boomerang than meets the eye. Will earning her father’s approval come at the price of losing her first real love? It appears so, unless Adam can forgive her for wrecking his life and trying to steal his livelihood. But Alison hopes that old adage is right. Maybe love can conquer all.
*All Broke Down was one of my steamiest reads of the year! When I caught the Silas virus, I got real, real sick…I couldn’t get this book (aka – boy) out of my head for a long while! Nothing will stop me from reading the 3rd book in the series the first second I can!
All Played Out (Rusk University #3) by Cora Carmack
Publication: May 12th, 2015 by William Morrow
Purchase: Amazon
Antonella “Nell” De Luca is the first in her family to go to college, and on a full ride, too. She’s spent years working and studying nonstop to make the most of this chance. But now college is almost over and she’s seriously lacking in friends and a social life of any kind. So, with the help of her friend Dylan, she does what she does best . . . She makes a to-do list. More specifically . . . the Ultimate College Bucket List.Item #1 on that list? Hook up with a jock.
Mateo Torres is a wide receiver for the Rusk University football team. He’s committed and works hard, but when he’s not on the field all bets are off. He likes to party and do whatever insane thing pops into his head. It’s not uncommon to find him dancing in inappropriate places, wearing inappropriate amounts of clothing, and just being generally inappropriate. If it’s fun . . . that’s all that matters. Because as long as things don’t get too serious, he can avoid thinking about the ex he lost when he put football and his ego ahead of her.Hooking up with Dylan’s friend, Nell, is absolutely the last thing he should do. She’s quiet and smart and innocent, and too much like the girl he spends all his time trying not to think about. But when he gets a taste of her, he’s reluctant to give her up. Being around her almost feels like he’s getting a do-over. A chance to do things right. And he’s the perfect person to help her drop her inhibitions and complete her bucket list.
But as the list draws to a close, they’ll both have to decide if what they have is real or just for fun. Life is more than just lists. And the past shouldn’t rule the present. But can they figure that out before it’s too late?
*JLA is a goddess! We fawn over her at any chance we can! So which of her NA books should I list…well technically I am going to go ahead and list two 2015 releases! HA! Screw the rules! The Return is a NA spinoff of her Covenant series so yay for smexy paranormal! Then we have the 4th novel in the Wait for You series, Fall With Me! They are always so sweet and sexy! They are both are so enticing and both belong on this list!

The Fates are cackling their bony asses off…
It’s been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they’ve given him have been violent and bloody–which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth. He’s got to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet.
Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy’s deal might be, but it’s a good bet that his arrival means the new life she started after leaving home is about to be thrown into an Olympian-sized blender turned up to puree. Either Josie is going insane or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is gunning for her.
But it might be the unlikely attraction simmering between her and the golden-eyed, secret-keeping Seth that may prove to be the most dangerous thing of all.
Because history has once again been flipped to repeat.
Book 1 in the new adult paranormal TITAN series, spin-off to the best selling COVENANT series.

Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.
Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.
But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.
Shannon’s Top 4
I’ve been a sucker for NA/Upper YA since I first read Easy by Tammara Webber and realized that I liked my stories with just a bit more sexy. Kelly has peppered her list with all the books already on my must read list for 2015, in fact I only have 4 choices because #5 for me is most definitely Burned by Karen Marie Moning so in the interest of not having a duplicate, I leave you with my very solid choices below. With that said, I’m glad that NA is here to stay and can’t wait to see what some of our favorite authors have in store for us in 2015!
*I’ve been obsessed with Asa since he first showed up in Jet (Marked Men #2) so it’s fitting that he will close out one of my favorite series. This southern charmer is hot, hot, hot, don’t believe check out that cover below.
Asa (Marked Med #6) by Jay Crownover
Publication: April 21, 2015 by Harper Collins
Pre-Order: Amazon
Starting over in Denver with a whole new circle of friends and family, Asa Cross struggles with being the man he knows everyone wants him to be and the man he knows he really is. A leopard doesn’t it change its spots and Asa has always been a predator. He doesn’t want to hurt those who love and rely on him, especially one luscious arresting cop who suddenly seems to be interested in him for far more than his penchant for breaking the law. But letting go of old habits is hard, and it’s easy to hit bottom when it’s the place you know best.
Royal Hastings is quickly learning what the bottom looks like after a tragic situation at work threatens not only her career but her partner’s life. As a woman who has only ever had a few real friends she’s trying to muddle through her confusion and devastation all alone. Except she can’t stop thinking about the sexy southern bartender she locked up. Crushing on Asa is the last thing she needs but his allure is too strong to resist. His long criminal record can only hurt her already shaky career and chasing after a guy who has no respect for the law or himself can only end in heartbreak.
A longtime criminal and a cop together just seems so wrong . . . but for Asa and Royal, being wrong together is the only right choice to make.
*As a huge fan of the Pushing the Limits series, I was over the moon to hear that Katie has a new NA/Upper YA series coming out and oh guess what it sounds like Sons of Anarchy mixed with Romeo and Juliet? Yes please.
Nowhere But Here (Thunder Road #1) by Katie McGarry
Publication: May 16, 2015 by Harlequin Teen
Pre-Order: Amazon
An unforgettable new series from acclaimed author Katie McGarry about taking risks, opening your heart and ending up in a place you never imagined possible;
Seventeen-year-old Emily likes her life the way it is: doting parents, good friends, good school in a safe neighborhood. Sure, she’s curious about her biological father;the one who chose life in a motorcycle club, the Reign of Terror, over being a parent; but that doesn’t mean she wants to be a part of his world. But when a reluctant visit turns to an extended summer vacation among relatives she never knew she had, one thing becomes clear: nothing is what it seems. Not the club, not her secret-keeping father and not Oz, a guy with suck-me-in blue eyes who can help her understand them both.
Oz wants one thing: to join the Reign of Terror. They’re the good guys. They protect people. They’re family. And while Emily; the gorgeous and sheltered daughter of the club’s most respected member is in town, he’s gonna prove it to her. So when her father asks him to keep her safe from a rival club with a score to settle, Oz knows it’s his shot at his dream. What he doesn’t count on is that Emily just might turn that dream upside down.
No one wants them to be together. But sometimes the right person is the one you least expect, and the road you fear the most is the one that leads you home.
McGarry details the sexy highs, the devastating lows, and the real work it takes to build true love.
