Feature & Giveaway: Favorite Reads of 2020 – Adult Books

The time of year has come for us to share our Favorite Adult Reads of 2020! I know we don’t primarily focus on adult books on the blog often, but we still read them, so I am definitely sharing my top 5!

Kelly’s Favorite Adult Reads of 2020

I made it a goal for 2020 to read more adult, and of the few books I read – I really loved! You can see quite a few on my Favorite Backlist reads too and the following are my top five – 5 star 2020 releases are below!

1. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
   This book has my whole heart, I cried, I laughed, I reflected on my own life and how I may be remembered…just really powerful prose.
2. The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune
   This book is like reading with a warm cup of cocoa and wrapped in a cozy blanket. Reading is a literal transfusion of goodness right to the soul. A book disguised as a hug.
3. Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
   Do the bones! I know this series isn’t for everyone, but this necromancing sci-fi sequel threw me across the room after I read it – it was that powerful!
4. The Happily Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez
   I literally was crying laughing from the first scene. Lots of typical romance tropes – but I loved the execution and it just made me smile.
5. Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert
   I absolutely loved book one, Get a Life, Chloe Brown, and this book was just as amazing! The Brown sisters own me now! I adore them!
