Feature: Top 3 Moments in Stranger Things in Honor of Stranger Things Day
Happy Stranger Things Day! In honor of this very important day in the fandom (November 6th, 1983, the day Will Byers disappeared, which makes today the 36th anniversary of his disappearance), Christy & Kelly are sharing their Top 3 Moments in Stranger Things.
Today we are highlighting the very first Stranger Things novel, Suspicious Minds by Gwenda Bond. You can read my review here. Now that you’ve binged all three seasons of the TV show you have to start reading the novels which bring backstories to these iconic characters.

An upcoming book A mysterious lab. A sinister scientist. A secret history. If you think you know the truth behind Eleven’s mother, prepare to have your mind turned Upside Down in this thrilling prequel to the hit show Stranger Things.
It’s the summer of 1969, and the shock of conflict reverberates through the youth of America, both at home and abroad. As a student at a quiet college campus in the heartland of Indiana, Terry Ives couldn’t be further from the front lines of Vietnam or the incendiary protests in Washington.
But the world is changing, and Terry isn’t content to watch from the sidelines. When word gets around about an important government experiment in the small town of Hawkins, she signs on as a test subject for the project, codenamed MKUltra. Unmarked vans, a remote lab deep in the woods, mind-altering substances administered by tightlipped researchers . . . and a mystery the young and restless Terry is determined to uncover.
But behind the walls of Hawkins National Laboratory—and the piercing gaze of its director, Dr. Martin Brenner—lurks a conspiracy greater than she could have ever imagined. To face it, she’ll need the help of her fellow test subjects, including one so mysterious the world doesn’t know she exists—a young girl with unexplainable, superhuman powers and a number instead of a name: 008.
Amid the rising tensions of the new decade, Terry Ives and Martin Brenner have begun a different kind of war—one where the human mind is the battlefield.
Christy’s Top 3 Stranger Things Moments
That time we saw Hopper being happy with Diana and Sara. I thought Darkness on the Edge of Town was going to be a sad story for Hopper but Adam Christopher gave us a callback to when Hopper was in dad-mode previously.
The moment when you travel to the 70s in Suspicious Minds because Stranger Things is all about the nostalgia.
Alexei and his Slurpee. So pure.
Kelly’s Top 3 Stranger Things Moments
I decided to go with my Top 3 Season 3 moments because I loved this season so much!
Eleven & Max bonding over their boy problems and finding fun female companionship was such a great part of season 3!
Steve had the best character arc throughout the 3 seasons and he will forever be a favorite character and when him and Dustin reunite is like everything!
Season 3 was of course a strange season, but nothing beats when the whole crew is together fighting the big bad. I absolutely loved the additional creep factors, the sadness, the friendships, the new relationships…it was all amazing.
Now go read some books about Stranger Things!
