Today, she hates him.

It’s the last day of senior year. Rowan Roth and Neil McNair have been bitter rivals for all of high school, clashing on test scores, student council elections, and even gym class pull-up contests. While Rowan, who secretly wants to write romance novels, is anxious about the future, she’d love to beat her infuriating academic nemesis one last time.

Tonight, she puts up with him.

When Neil is named valedictorian, Rowan has only one chance at victory: Howl, a senior class game that takes them all over Seattle, a farewell tour of the city she loves. But after learning a group of seniors is out to get them, she and Neil reluctantly decide to team up until they’re the last players left—and then they’ll destroy each other.

As Rowan spends more time with Neil, she realizes he's much more than the awkward linguistics nerd she sparred with for the past four years. And, perhaps, this boy she claims to despise might actually be the boy of her dreams.

Tomorrow . . . maybe she’s already fallen for him.

Review

This is the cutest book! I was totally rooting for Rowan and Neil the whole time to figure it out! As much as I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers stories my favorite part was the Seattle Senior Tour competition that Rowan and Neil partook in. They finally put their competition aside to participate together – and to win!

Once Rowan and Neil got out of the high school hallways on their last days of senior year – the story really picked up with a race around Seattle. It was neat to see the two come together while also sharing their home town and making new other memories.

While running around Seattle for 24 hours they talked about so many popular locations like the Space Needle and Fremont Troll sculpture, as well as a lot of local loved hot spots that really brought out the authors love for her hometown. Sometimes reading books it seems like the authors know the area well, or they at least researched the area well, but this book came across as a tribute to Solomon’s love of Seattle, as well as a cute love story.

As I was listening to the book I couldn’t help but wish I was paper reading the book as I wanted to tab so many passages and places to visit the next time I head to Seattle.

4 delightful stars to this 24-hour adventure that I am sure will be a perfect pick for those who love contemporary romance!
