Feature: ARC August – Final Recap & Giveaway
Well ARC August is over and I was not very successful in terms of how many ARCs I tackled, but maybe I was in terms of productivity. So my original Goals weren’t even that lofty. 6 ARCs, I read 3. Only half…so disappointing.
Honestly, the news and awfulness in our world really put me in the wrong headspace to read. I couldn’t focus on anything long term. I made quick work of all 15 episodes of the ReMade serial. Which is almost 800 pages, I listened to it on audio, but still it consumed a lot of my time and I was enthralled so it was worth it. I will be reviewing more episodes soon. I also finished the Geek Actually serial as well, but I was already committed to that one before August.
I really have to thank Shelly, Angie, & Octavia over at Read. Sleep. Repeat. for hosting another wonderful challenge and supporting other bloggers help make their goals!
I will also take all the comments from all the ARC August 2017 posts and pick a few random winners, to win some ARCs from my shelf! So please feel free to leave a comment on this post and let me know your August successes! Giveaway will close 9/8/17. Open INTL.

So that is my ARC August Recap – I wasn’t very smart with my reading time, I have what feels like 100 September and October books to read, and not the mention how many reviews I need to write…so far behind! Maybe the nice fall weather will inspire me to read ffs!
Giveaway:
Be sure to leave a comment about your August reading accomplishments, because I will combine all the comments from all 3 #ARCAugust posts and choose some winners to pick out some ARCs from my shelf!
I was able to read two ARCs and three published books in August. I have to say, I was pretty upset that I didn’t have more ARCs to read, but it is what it is. I hope I can get some more in the future, and for next August!
Sounds like you did well!
You are way too hard on yourself! You did great this month and you read some good choices. I love this recap!
Thanks babe! I really wanted to read a few more ARCs though!
I really loved Warcross and I hope you like it too! I ended up reading 18 books for #ARCAugust (15 ARCs) so I feel like I has a great month!
WOW! 15 ARCs! That is stellar! I am jealous of your reading abilities!
I think that any dent that you make to your TBR list is an accomplishment, regardless of what goals you set. You read five ARCs and two more books in addition to those, so I say job well done! You accomplished more than I did this month. I am right there with you about being in the wrong headspace to read. I’ve been in that funk for a few months. I did get several comics read, but I lacked on the novel front for August. I actually didn’t get around to any of the ARCs that i had planned to read. Here’s to a fresh month of reading goals!
Yes, a fresh start is needed! There are way too many books I am dying to read coming out this fall! Agreed, I did get some reading done and it feels good to see it all laid out when during the month I felt so down.
I didn’t really participate in Arc August because I wanted to tackle a lot of things on my TBR. I read the entire Twilight series, A Study In Charlotte, and (the only arc I read) Stalking Jack the Ripper. I didn’t read much, but I’ve been in a book slump for a while now.
It feels like everyone is in a slump right now…I hope we all can break it soon!
I was in a bit of a reading slump this August but I managed to read the whole Poison Study series which I loved! I also read Warcross for ARC August and loved it too!
