Author Crush & Giveaway: Misty Provencher – Blogiversary Party
So as a part of our Blogiversary Party we reached out to our favorite authors for donations to help us celebrate! And we decided to do a special post just for a few of them & they don’t even know it! Surprise! This doesn’t mean we don’t love all the authors who’ve donated but sometimes we just do what we want! So it is no surprise that I am head over heels in love with Misty Provencher, oh and her books! This post will be jovial because Misty is such a fun lady! She can be found constantly chatting to her fans, colleagues and anyone who’s following along. She is one of the most generous and outgoing authors that I follow on social media, which makes me start to wonder when does she find the time to write her amazing novels! Plus she started the official fan club for one of my sweet little dogs, Finny. *instant love*

Let’s talk writing! Misty has this style of writing that is just so fluid, fresh and creative. She writes action, suspense and romance that is so gripping that I never want to put her books down. I seriously feel the need to stay awake all hours just to read, read, read!
Misty’s novels – Her first self-published novel, Cornerstone, is the first in a young adult, fantasy, romance series. I love it so much that I would take it with me on a deserted island if I had to chose just 10 books! I also recently reviewed book 3, Jamb, it seriously deserved my coveted 5 HEART rating. As I wrote in my Jamb review (I know quoting myself is silly, but I think it says a lot):
“This book is so amazing; no wait this series is so amazing. Every word, every thought, every feel in this book is pure perfection! I couldn’t stop thinking about this book for weeks after I finished it.”
I am so excited that soon we will be able to reveal the cover and blurb for Capstone (Cornerstone #4), on August 30th. YAY!
Check it – Misty is going to be doing a special book signing event on September 12, 2013 in Commerce, Michigan, so if you are in the area or nearby…go!! Also, Misty is giving away 2 tickets!
Misty also writes new adult, contemporary romance novels where she gets her smexy on! A friend suggested that I read this book called, Hale Maree, and I take suggestions from my voracious reading friends seriously, so I purchased my copy & got to reading! I had no idea what I was in for, but the story of Hale & Oscar is fun, romantic and of course hot! But it gets better, Mrs. Provencher wrote a companion novel, Full of Grace that focuses on a different couple, Landon & Sher, that are in the first book…and it’s even more fun & sexy than the first, well at least in my silly opinion!
Last but not least we have a dark fantasy novel called Mercy, A Gargoyle Story. This book is mature due to the subject matter, not so much for any risqué content. It also is not a tradition romance and the story can be emotionally intense as it delves into some serious social issues. It is different than all her other novels, but it still has Misty’s smooth, brilliant and beautiful writing, so be sure to give it a chance!
