Author Interview: Casey L. Bond
What made you continue with a new installment, Forever Frenzy? Did you always know you were going to continue the series and surprise readers?
I left the Frenzy series’ ending somewhat open with the final chapter of Fraud. There was a definite ending to the book and readers could stop there and be completely satisfied if they wanted to, but a character kept bugging me. He wasn’t ready to let go of the series or my mind, and he was so persistent that I sat down to write Forever Frenzy. I’d mulled over it for weeks and decided that if it was meant to be written, the words would flow and did they ever. It was a torrent.
So, I did know it was possible. It’s also possible to spin the series off into another within the world, but at this point, I’m not sure if I’ll do that or not. For the foreseeable future, the series is definitely finished.
Now that we can assume the Frenzy series is over, what are you working on next, since you have been in this world for so long?
Most of 2016 was spent in the Frenzy world. But it actually started the October before I released anything. I wrote three of the books before I released any of them. Likewise, though the books are still releasing, I’ve had them finished for a few months and have been working on other stories. I had to switch gears and truthfully, it was refreshing to write something new—even though I truly love the world and characters of Frenzy.
In 2017, I plan to rapidly release a few more books in the first half of the year. After Forever Frenzy, I’ll be releasing a contemporary romance that’s crazy fun. After that, a paranormal romance duology with the same creepy feel that Frenzy has will be coming your way and I could not be more excited about these books.
After those, I’m writing a few YA titles that I think readers are going to love! I’ll keep you all posted, on social media and via my newsletter and website.
I also want to thank you all for loving the Frenzy series. It’s been so much fun seeing fans fight over Saul and Tage. I know, I know. It’s a difficult choice. 🙂
