Cora Carmack – 3 Questions
I have admired Cora Carmack since the moment I read Losing It and she personally engaged back with me on social media. I love authors who chat back, for me it means the world (authors are my celebrities)! She is the most fun & is so cool to her readers! Real-life Cora did not disappoint, she was so friendly and kind! Ok enough gushing…onto the 3 questions!
Cora’s ultimate book crush will always be Jace from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Claire. Jace, is a classic YA crush. I mean how could anyone read that series and not be head over heels for this tortured soul who hides behind his wit and puts his all into being the best warrior. OK, yes I too crush on Jace, I can’t help it that I have a lot of book crush’s -ahem.
Cora wishes she wrote what seems to be her favorite book. The book is Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly. She even got a skeleton key tattoo inspired & dedicated to the book! Revolution made her “want to write books that made her feel.” That answer definitely moves this book up my TBR list!
A lot of Cora’s real life stories make it into her books. Some may not be noticeable but a piece of her makes it into all of her heroines and heroes! For instance, Cora was involved with theater in college, `a la Losing It. She also grew up in Texas & her father was a football coach, just like Dallas Cole in All Lined Up.
All Lined Up (Rusk University #1) by Cora Carmack
Category: New Adult, Contemporary Romance
Publication: May 13th, 2014
Purchase: Amazon, B&N
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cora Carmack follows up her trio of hits—Losing It, Faking It, and Finding It—with this thrilling first novel in an explosive series bursting with the Texas flavor, edge, and steamy romance of Friday Night Lights.
In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.
Dallas Cole loathes football. That’s what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.
But life doesn’t always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.
Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It’s obliterated.
Dallas doesn’t know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn’t know that Dallas is his new coach’s daughter.
And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.
Losing It (Losing It #1)
Category: New Adult, Contemporary Romance
Publication: October 15th, 2012
Purchase: Amazon, B&N
Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, Bliss Edwards decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible – a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren’t embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She’d left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.
Author Bio: Cora Carmack
I’m Cora Carmack, a twenty-something writer who likes to write about twenty-something characters. I’ve done a multitude of things in my life– boring jobs (like working retail), Fun jobs (like working in a theatre), stressful jobs (like teaching), and dream jobs (like writing). I enjoy placing my characters in the most awkward situations possible, and then trying to help them get a boyfriend out of it. Awkward people need love, too. I’m a New York Times and USA Today bestseller… and a nerd (mostly the nerd part).
