Cover Crush: Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi has a breathtaking cover! Wow! This is absolutely gorgeous and I want it now! We have all the makings of an amazing series: Magic, murder, and monarchy! Looks like there is a little bit of enemies to lovers attraction thrown in the mix too, but it didn’t flow with my alliteration, so you know. I got a sampler of this at BEA 2017, and I have been waiting impatiently for arcs! I really cannot wait to read this fantasy! It has everything I could want, now I just need to wait it out. Children of Blood and Bone releases on March 6th, 2016, so be sure to put this one on your TBR ASAP, because you do not want to miss it!

Children of Blood and Bone (Children of Orïsha #1) by Tomi Adeyemi

Category: Young Adult, Fantasy
Publication: March 6th, 2018; Henry Holt Books for Young Readers
Purchase: Amazon

Zélie Adebola remembers when the soil of Orïsha hummed with magic. Burners ignited flames, Tiders beckoned waves, and Zelie’s Reaper mother summoned forth souls.

But everything changed the night magic disappeared. Under the orders of a ruthless king, maji were targeted and killed, leaving Zélie without a mother and her people without hope.

Now, Zélie has one chance to bring back magic and strike against the monarchy. With the help of a rogue princess, Zélie must outwit and outrun the crown prince, who is hell-bent on eradicating magic for good.

Danger lurks in Orïsha, where snow leoponaires prowl and vengeful spirits wait in the waters. Yet the greatest danger may be Zélie herself as she struggles to control her powers—and her growing feelings for the enemy.
