In the war against the Forces of Darkness, the Royals are losing. Princess Ivy is de-termined to end this centuries-long conflict once and for all, so her new battle part-ner must succeed where the others failed. Prince Zach’s unparalleled skill with a sword, enhanced by Ivy’s magic Kiss, should make them an unstoppable pair—but try convincing Zach of that.
Prince Zach has spent his life preparing for battle, but he would rather be branded a heretic than use his lips as nothing more than a way to transfer magic. A kiss is a symbol of love, and love is the most powerful weapon they have—but try convinc-ing Ivy of that.
With the fate of their world on the line, the battlefield has become a testing ground, and only one of them can be right. Falling for each other wasn’t part of the plan—but try convincing their hearts of that.
Royal Reading Recommendations:
1. Leia: Princess of Alderaan by Claudia Gray Goodreads | Amazon One of the best Star Wars books I’ve read…well ok I love a lot of them but this is a wonderful look into Leia’s formative young adult years!
2. The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows Goodreads | Amazon Time to steal your stolen kingdom back! Loved it, you will too!
3. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab Goodreads | Amazon OK technically not YA, but one of my absolute favorite series ever…so that’s my rec!
4. Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller Goodreads | Amazon Such a fun read and what an adventure full of pirates, a kickass heroine, and all the swoons!
5. Royal Bastards by Andrew Shvarts Goodreads | Amazon Loved this book! It really reminded me of Game of Thrones, but funny and written very modernly, but in a world without anything modern!
6. Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake Goodreads | Amazon THIS BOOK! Three twin sisters are raised with magic to rule their kingdom, but in order to rule, you must kill your sisters. So good.
7. The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang Goodreads | Amazon This is a graphic novel, and so amazing. JUST READ IT!
8. Roar by Cora Carmack Goodreads | Amazon A rich fantasy world, with a magic you’ve never read about before! Also…lots of swoons as well!
9. My Lady Jane by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand & Jodi Meadows Goodreads | Amazon Funny so funny. This is a retelling and it will be nothing like you are expecting.
10. The Great Hunt by Wendy Higgins Goodreads | Amazon This is also a retelling and the imagery is so lush and the book is just beautiful.
