Dina Silver – 3 Questions
Dina Silver was one of the nicest & most genuine authors I have ever met. She was just so kind especially to my awkward self. Trust me, interviewing is difficult enough, but then throw in the extremely short time frame and I got flustered real quick, but Dina was just great!
Dina’s ultimate book crush will always be Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Mr. Darcy is a classic book crush; Jane Austen is classic romance. Plus what teenage girl didn’t read this novel & fall for Mr. Darcy.
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. I do believe that Dina is waiting very, very patiently (snicker) for the October release of the movie adaptation where the screenplay is written by the author herself! Dina made it clear that she loves mystery novels & desires to write a screenplay, so Gone Girl is like her ideal book she wish she’s written.
When I asked Dina how much of her real life crosses over into her stories she immediately replied with “a ton.” Kat Fight is based on how she met her husband, with some “spin, of course!” There was drama & laughter involved and the story just begged to be told!
