Author Crush: Jennifer Armentrout

Crushed on by Shannon, on October 1, 2012, in Author Crush / 3 Comments

My love affair with Jennifer Armentrout began after reading about a brooding and hot pure blood named Aidan St. Delphi and a kick-ass heroine named Alex in Half-Blood (Covenant #1).  However, my love affair was solidified after reading about the unbelievably electrifying Daemon Black in Obsidian (Lux #1).  In The Lux Series, Jennifer has crafted not only one of the sexiest bad boys turned reluctant heroes in recent memory, but the relationship between heroine Katy and Daemon is one rife with sizzling tension.  It’s one of those relationships that is so hot that it may find you fanning yourself with your ereader (or maybe that was just me).  In addition to characters that have white-hot chemistry, Jennifer reels you in with engaging, action packed stories, that  will leave the reader gasping for more until the very last page.  So just who is this literary phenom with the penchant for blush worthy scenes?  According to her bio, Jennifer lives in Martinsburg, West Virginia with her husband and Jack Russel named Loki  and enjoys working out and watching “really bad zombie movies”.  In addition to her YA titles, jennifer produces adult romance novels under the pen name J. Lynn.

Jennifer’s latest Lux novel Onyx was released on August 14, 2012, I gave it a 5 star rating on Goodreads in case you were wondering. Her follow-up novel Opal will be out December 11, 2012 and you can tell I’m excited as I’ve installed a countdown clock on the front page of this site. Finally, her latest stand alone novel Cursed about a girl whose touch can literally kill, was just released on September 18th. In the pipeline is a YA contemporary mystery/thriller Don’t Look Back (Disney/Hyperion Spring 2014) which has been pitched as “Black Swan meets Pretty Little Liars” and Obsession a new adult book written as J. Lynn (no further information).
