Over a year ago I was searching for a new book, series, author… anything. I was reading books from so many different authors that I became obsessed with trying as many different writing styles as I could. And this was right in the middle of my “if it doesn’t have a werewolf or vampire, I’m not interested!” phase, lol. So my friend Aileen said to me “you must read Mrs. Hauf. She is awesome! And well… she takes it to another level when it comes to paranormal romance…” I blinked at her in confusion, all she responded with was “Read Moon Kissed.”
And so I did. This is what the back of the book says to give you an idea:
A fine line between fear and desire…
Escaping from bloodthirsty vampires, Belladonna Reynolds ran straight into the arms of a werewolf. As a man, Severo dre
w her in with his dark good looks; as a beast he astounded her with his insatiable sensual appetite. Whether afraid or aroused, Bella fled to his lair when threatened by an evil monster of the night….
And between hatred and love…
Severo tried to keep Bella—his mate—safe from the vampires who held a malicious desire for revenge against him—but he alone wasn’t enough. How could he desire the very thing he’d spent his life destroying? And even if he did, what would the werewolf do to Bella on the next full moon?
And I was hooked. Michele Hauf has been writing for over 19 years and is probably the most down to earth author I have met. Here’s part of her bio from her official website which is listed down below *points*
France, musketeers, vampires and faeries populate her stories. And if she followed the adage ‘write what you know’, all her stories would have snow in them. Fortunately, she steps beyond her comfort zone and writes about countries she has never visited and of creatures she has never seen.
