Jamie McGuire – 3 Questions
Jamie McGuire has one book crush that will stay with her forever and that is Edward Cullen from the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I love when people stay true to themselves no matter if there is backlash these days and there has been some of that book shaming now a days (even I guffaw at it most times). However, Jamie was quick to add that Woods & Rush from the Rosemary Beach series by Abbi Glines are very close runners up! P.S. The authors did not know our questions ahead of time, and I did not tell Jamie that Abbi just chose her leading man as her crush – isn’t that just the most fun!!
Sometimes all we want is to be successful & Jamie already has that on lock! However, if she had to write some other series she would chose Twilight or Harry Potter! She loves these amazing stories and you can’t resist their awesome success. For her ultimate success would mean to be an answer on a game show like Jeopardy one day!
Red Hill has the most characteristics that are very similar to Jaime. Much more of herself went into this book. But most of you want to know about Beautiful Disaster was also based a lot on Jamie’s college experience and would say that only about 25% is pure fiction!
This is my second time meeting Jamie and she has always been such a fun person to chat with! She will tell you as much as she can about whatever questions you have…like the BD movie, but nothing that I would put in print without her permission! So if you want to know more, check her out on tour as she is willing to talk to all her fans!
Red Hill
Category: New Adult, Romance, Post Apocalyptic, Zombies Publication: October 1st, 2013 Purchase: Amazon, B&N
When the world ends, can love survive?
For Scarlet, raising her two daughters alone makes fighting for tomorrow an everyday battle. Nathan has a wife, but can’t remember what it’s like to be in love; only his young daughter Zoe makes coming home worthwhile. Miranda’s biggest concern is whether her new VW Bug is big enough to carry her sister and their boyfriends on a weekend escape from college finals.
When reports of a widespread, deadly “outbreak” begin to surface, these ordinary people face extraordinary circumstances and suddenly their fates are intertwined. Recognizing they can’t outrun the danger, Scarlet, Nathan, and Miranda desperately seek shelter at the same secluded ranch, Red Hill. Emotions run high while old and new relationships are tested in the face of a terrifying enemy—an enemy who no longer remembers what it’s like to be human.
Set against the backdrop of a brilliantly realized apocalyptic world, love somehow finds a way to survive. But what happens when the one you’d die for becomes the one who could destroy you?
Red Hill grabs you from page one and doesn’t let go until its stunning conclusion. This is #1 New York Times bestselling author Jamie McGuire at her unforgettable best.
Happenstance (Happenstance #1) – Novella
Category: Young Adult, Contemporary Publication: May 9th, 2014 Purchase: Amazon, B&N
Erin Easter, one of three Erins in the small senior class of rural Blackwell High School who not only share a first name, but also their birthday. Erin Easter, raised by a neglectful single mom, keeps to herself and admires Weston Gates from afar. The other Erins, Erin A. and Erin M. are the darlings of the community: daughters of the two wealthiest families in town, best friends, cheerleaders, and everything Erin Easter isn’t–and they never let her forget it. Erin A. has even claimed Weston since the 8th grade.
Weston is a well-liked star athlete, and the son of two prominent attorneys. He struggles daily with the pressures of living up to his family name and secretly empathizes with Erin Easter’s feeling that she belongs somewhere else; in a different life. Not until he begins sneaking nights out with Erin does he gain the courage to buck expectations and acknowledge his feelings … both for his future, and for her.
But when a shocking tragedy rocks the tiny town, Erin’s life is turned upside down in the best way possible. But when the truth is revealed and everything Erin thinks she wanted falls into her lap, life only becomes more complicated.
Beautiful Oblivion (Maddox Brothers #1)
Publication: July 1st, 2014 Coming Soon ~ Pre-Order Now: Amazon
The Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster phenomenon continues in the first heart-pounding new adult romance in The Maddox Brothers series.
Fiercely independent Camille “Cami” Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over. She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college. Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn’t have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with a first weekend off in almost a year.
Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school. His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.
Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlor to help with the bills. Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.
As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she’ll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic. But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever—even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.
In the first installment of the Maddox Brothers books, readers can experience the rush of reading Beautiful Disaster for the first time, all over again.

I love this book I read online but i want in paper so bad !!I love Jamie McGuire !!
I’ve read most of Jamie McGuires books and I love them all! I also love zombies and anything apocalyptic, from movies to books to games. I can’t believe I haven’t read this book yet
I LOVE post-apocalyptic books. In this genre, I tend to stick with YA books, which is one of the reasons I want to read Red Hill–because it’s not YA, at least, not to my knowledge. I haven’t read a lot of post-apocalyptic/dystopian adult books. I read one recently that I absolutely enjoyed, though. It’s called Dead of Eve by Pam Godwin. I’d even go so far as to say it’s one of my new favorites in this genre.
Awesome giveaway. Thanks for sharing!
Love her books.
