Hello Girls is a modern day Thelma & Louise story, a story where two women become friends due to their extraordinary life circumstances and decide to leave it all behind.

We got to thinking – who is the Thelma and who is the Louise in our friendship?

Thelma

Loyal to a fault. A little meek. Still learning who she is.

Louise

Expert on human nature due to her job as a waitress. Does what she wants.
Tough. Jaded. Realistic.

Christy: If you took 20 something year old me and put her in this scenario, I am definitely the Thelma. I really didn’t know who I wanted to be and I didn’t have the voice I wish I did. I only wish I had Kelly then!

Kelly: As a young adult, I definitely was more tough and reckless, but also astutely aware of my surroundings. I could tell when trouble was afoot, and I would do anything to protect my friends. I barely let anyone inside my heart, and kept very thick walls. I almost tried to break up a friendship because in my realistic rationale we were too different to be friends, little did I know that our differences just made us stronger.

About Brittany Cavallaro

Brittany Cavallaro is a poet, fiction writer, and old school Sherlockian. She is the New York Times bestselling author of the Charlotte Holmes novels from HarperCollins/Katherine Tegen Books, including A STUDY IN CHARLOTTE, THE LAST OF AUGUST, and THE CASE FOR JAMIE (forthcoming in March 2018). She's also the author of the poetry collection GIRL-KING (University of Akron) and is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship. She earned her BA in literature from Middlebury College and her MFA in poetry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
