More Science Fiction TV/Movies Like Black Mirror & Westworld to Binge After Reading Stronger, Faster, and More Beautiful

Blade Runner and of course Blade Runner 2049 – Replicants are synthetic humans who were created for many tasks but it takes a special agent to determine who is human and who is a replicant, and to terminate them. The noir style of this movie made my a sci-fi fan for life.

Orphan Black – Genetic embryonic clones where the main story is mystery of discovering why they were created, and ultimately about the moral and ethical dilemmas with cloning, identity, and human nature.

Electric Dreams – is a serial anthology tv show very much like Black Mirror, but each stand alone episode is an adaption of the stories from sci-fi godfather, Philip K. Dick.

Her – Joaquin Phoenix is this movie, and he falls in love with basically the Siri component of his computer. Love is complicated, and being human is even more complicated.

Altered Carbon – a TV series where human consciousness can be stored and transferred and the snythetic bodies that are now created to host the consciouness. It’s trippy.

Battlestar Galactica – Humans vs Cylons, a created robot race that decides to exterminate the humans. Whoops. Guess that backfired.

Dark Angel – Be still our hearts because Jensen Ackles plays not just one but two glorious characters in this show. Talk about human perfection.

Kyle XY – Justice for the kid without a belly button and a great show killed by a bad time slot. Kyle came about through cloning and a desire to harness human powers. Sound familiar?
