New Release Review: Fated (Relentless #6) by Karen Lynch
Fated, a companion book in the Relentless series by Karen Lynch was released this week & I can’t tell you how fun it was to be back in this world! Fated is a companion novel to the Relentless series, and it was so much fun to be back in this world that Karen Lynch created! Fated comes after all the other novels in the series, and this is Christian’s story. Chris was Nikolas’ best friend and Mohiri partner, and he did nothing but jest Nikolas for his troubles when he found his mate, Sara. Payback is a real treat for Nikolas, now that Chris has finally found his match.
As a big fan of the series it was great to have the whole gang back together, albeit to fight a damn big bad monster. But along the way we get such insight into Chris’ past and get to know him better. My feelings were all over the place, but one thing remained and that was the overall feeling of true love. Of course this mate business is always hard on both the Mohiri’s but in this case, this was a story of second chances, and forgiveness. Can you love someone who has hurt you, can you overcome your fears and rebuild the trust necessary to spend your lives together? These were the main questions and eventually, love overcomes all other obstacles.
Knowing Chris had to work hard to gain trust from his mate, made the whole HEA so satisfying. It wasn’t instant, even though he was so deeply in love and he has guarded his heart for years. He had to prove himself and his mate finally relented and knew he was truly worth the match.
Fated is definitely a great addition to the series, and I recommend reading them all in order, aka not a standalone, in order for you to understand exactly what this world is like. This series is a gem in the YA paranormal romance genre and if you haven’t started, what are you waiting for?!
